Greatest American Dog Show Two - Obedience
I like the new opening to the show. I like the drama of the Tillman-Elvis battle. The increase in conflict between the people also increased my interest in the show. I also liked this week’s dog bone challenge as it reflected the talents of the dogs and the skills of the owners. I even liked the dog related commercials that were on this week.
The three worst this week were good selections again this week. I thought that the expulsion of Alon & Kenji was also on target. I was concerned about the show after the first episode but I’m back to being a fan. I’m looking forward to week 3. Let’s see if I’m still a fan then.
One complaint that I have, or maybe it’s just a suggestion: I’d like to see the show include training tips to help us all learn how to better train our dogs.
TR

I enjoyed reading your blogs. Tillman is my favorite - just LOVE him!!! My other favorites are Presley, Star and Leroy. Tillman should get his own show.
I thought the 2nd week was much better. I was really concerned about Star and I would like to know what really happened to her? My favorites are Star, Presley, and Tillman! I also agreed with the judges, on Kenji going home.

I wonder what actually happened to Star. I think maybe we’re not being told the whole story. Is CBS engaged in a coverup?
I THINK IT’S A GREAT SHOW, THE FIRST EPISODE I WASN’T SO SURE.. I HOPE IT CAN RELAY THE MESSAGE OF HOW OUR DOGS ARE PART OF THE FAMILY NOT JUST AN ANIMAL.
I HAVE TO ADMIT, I AM A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED THAT STAR WAS INJURED AND THERE WAS NOT A VET ON THE SET?? PLEASE CBS, IF WE CAN HAVE ALL THE OTHER FRILLS, LETS CONSIDER THE HEALTH OF THE DOGS!!!!
CAN’T WAIT TIL NEXT WEEK, HOMER AND I ARE VERY EXCITED!
I was on vacation this last week and missed the show. Good thing CBS has streaming video, so I was able to catch up on all of the doggie action!
First reaction - thank you so much for cutting Elan and Kenji (am I spelling the names right?)!! That abrupt gutteral sound was getting to me I have to admit. Not that Elan didn’t look elegant in her orange evening gown, but she and her beautiful giant schnauzer have a lot of work to do. It’s not a bad deal really. What’s bad about having to spend time to enrich your relationship with a beloved friend?
I already am focusing more on obedience with my dog. The show is really teaching me about how to d it too. I am surprized that the judges are leaning more toward advocacy of a friendly relationship with the dog as opposed to a dominant leader of the pack type of deal. We’re not on dog whisperer thank God!
My favorites are still the following 3:
Laura & Preston: Very strong. Look great. There hasn’t been a test that they have not mastered.
JD & Galaxy: So talented, but most probable target of others in the competition, so if they slip just once, they’re probably out.
Travis & Presley: I think the humbleness of Travis is so becoming, you just want to cheer for him. Surprisingly, they are performing well.
This week, we still only see a glimpse of Laurie and Andrew - and their performances seem strong. When will the producers put these two in the spot light?
There are so many quirks I want to comment on… I’ll come back on after tonight’s show with more comments. Can’t wait to see what happends next.

How do you become a contestant? I would really like to know.
