Greatest American Dog Show

Greatest American Dog Shows Promise But Needs More…

I just watched the first episode of Greatest American Dog.  I love the concept and I like the pairs on the show.  However, I was very disappointed with the tasks assigned to the pairs.  They were lame and not very interesting.  Finally in the end I thought the judges voted off the wrong pair.

I thought the three worst pairs were good choices (Beth Joy & Bella Starlet; Brandy & Beacon; Michael & Ezzie).  Beth Joy & Bella Starlet were much poorer performers than Michael & Ezzie.  Beth Starlet the “actress dog” could not follow a single command.  I thought Michael & Ezzie should have been around for another week.

Any of those three would have been OK with me to go home. I think they picked Michael because he was overshadowing the dog.

With the show being taped, the actual time between challenges is probably only a day or two. Hardly enough time to perfect something really difficult. That gives the edge to the dogs who can learn quickly. My money’s on the border collies, Galaxy and Leroy.

I also, agree with Jerry about Michael, it was all about Michael and not about his unruly dog. I also was dissappointed in the show it expected more. I think they just throw it together without much thought. I will give it another try this week.

I was very upset watching Theresa with her dog last night. Though the photos were important, the way she treats that lovely dog makes me not want to watch this show anymore. More attention to the dogs, not the people. Though Tillmans picture was not as good, what about her treatment of her dog.? Judges ,except for the English lady, are missing a good chance to bring to light how aome people handle there dogs.

I agree its all about the owners not the dogs, which is sad. If the judges don’t like the owners creativity out they go, its not based on the dogs ability. I probably won’t watch again next year. And I agree Teresa is abusive with her dog she needs to go.

THERESA SHOULD BE DISQUALIFIED FOR SQUIRTING GRAPEFRUIT JUICE IN LEROY’S EYES. THAT IS VERY CRUEL!
