To: Theresa & Leroy
I'm really sorry you guys didn't win. Theresa, I
can't believe the judges blamed you for putting the
rubber band on Leroy's fangs! I wish you would have won!
I have a Bichon Frise named Happy, where do you should suggest I should take him to get groomed?

I think that Lori and Andrew should have won. I'm human and I wouldn't go under an elephant legs for all the money in the world. If Andrew had won the contest people would see small dogs are not just lap dogs. The separation anxiety you said Andrew have when he is away from his owner can be corrected with medication. My Pom had this problem but after a couple of weeks on medication she over came this problem. This was a sad night for all small dogs around the world.

Last weeks episode totally disgusted me. Having the elephant charge while you have your back to it was extremely dangerous. Don't these people read the news about elephants killing their trainers. All it would have taken is someone there looking like one of their ex trainers and bingo. Yes, elephants do have very long memories.

As for the "leap of faith" stunt, enough said. I certainly wouldn't have done it and told them what they could do with their monies. Poor Andrew it must have looked like jumping into the Grand Canyon for him. I certainly hope Galaxy will be okay. It looked to me like a hip injury caused by the restraints he had on. I wonder if Miss Snooty would have done either one of these stunts with her little precious. (I think not).

It would be interesting to know if the SPCA is aware of this show. I am sure they would put a stop to it.

Good luck to you Bill and Star. If this is the way this show going, I think you are better off in good ole Texas.

I am from Taiwan and watch the show every week. I am totally agreed with the above comments. Andrew and Star should have got the reward this week. They chosed to follow their intincts and decide not to jump. Especially Star, think about that if Bill's wife is going to be sick caused by her diabetic but she doesn't notice by herself, so she asks Star to go out of the house, and then Star refuses to leave. Would we say that"Star is not courage enough or Star isn't listenning her owner or trusting her owner?" My god, Star is such a smart dog and so is Andrew. Everyone knows that how Andrew is attched to his owner but this time he decided not jump, his action are totally changing my mind, I don't like Andrew that much before, but this time I adore him. I couldn't image that a golden retriver helps a blind people run into a wall but not to walk around it just because it is asked to do so. My god, Star and Andrew should get the big rewards, being such smart dogs.

Does anybody involved in the production of the show read these comments?

I would appreciate a response.

The majority of these "challenges" require the dogs to do things that are not compatible with their breeds, or even their dog-ness.

The contestants of most reality shows opt to do things that may be dangerous, humiliating, or degrading. In this case, the dogs did not opt to be on this show.

The producers do need to explain the "reasons" that they are choosing bizarre challenges for the dogs, as well as to admit responsibility for these bad choices. Many children are watching this show and they deserve an apology.

By the way, my interest in the show is due to the fact that I own a border collie. Back some weeks, poor Leroy was asked to be angry. Border collies do not get angry. Were the judges asking that he be provoked. The band was a better choice.

And of course border collies bark. A judge that can't tolerate that is down right silly.

Please, an explanation.

Danielle, I am going to tell you that you should be happy you missed the show. I am not a person that will sit down and watch a "reality show" or any show for that matter, but I did take an interest when I heard of the dog show. But I will not continue to watch this show any more, its a waste of time!

I could not believe the stupidity of the show last night. CBS should be ashamed to air such a program. After last night I am through watching the show. Bill and Star were the main reason I watched and with them gone I'm done. Star and Andrew were very smart not to jump. I can just picture some kid now putting his dog on the roof and asking it to jump. The elephant was also very stupid. I would turn and run if an elephant came charing at me. I can't say anything nice about the judges so I will shut up now.

I couldn't agree more with the previous comments about the Courage episode. If my dog and I were on the show, I would have withdrawn. I feel both challenges were unfair to the dogs, who were expected to act contrary to their instincts. Dog training is based on trust and teamwork. I would never voilate my dog's trust by asking her to do the things these dogs were asked to do.

I think Galaxy's leg was injured doing the ramp. A dog her age should not be expected to do something that strenuous, especially without a warmup. JD did have the option of the easier ramp and he should have taken it. I think this is a good lesson for ALL competitive dog people. We tend to get blinders on and push our dogs too far for the sake of competition.

Last night's show was the most despicable display of animal cruelty I have ever seen. The show was great until last night, but whoever created the challenges for the Courage show is a sadist.

To ask any dog to stand still while a 9,000 lb. elephant is charging its owner is insane to say nothing of the incredible harm that could have come to any of the dogs or their owners.

I am also absolutely livid that Galaxy was harmed by the jump!!! That was insane. Star and Andrew deserve major league prizes for using their common sense. You could see how cruel last night's show was in the faces of each and every dog. I think the show should be taken off the air immediately. And I think the contestants should all sue CBS for putting them in harm's way!

For some reason my DVR didn't record this episode and when I found out Bill and Star went home I cried! BILL AND STAR YOU ARE THE TRUE WINNERS IN MY EYES AND I'M SURE MILLIONS OF OTHERS FEEL THE SAME WAY! God must have known it was time for Bill and Star to go home to Bills wife Sherri who is a diabetic. Star is an unbelievably smart dog and I wish their family all the best!
God Bless Bill, Star and their family!
Dani
To anyone reading this---is there anywhere I can go to watch this episode???
