Greatest American Dog Show

Just heard that CBS is moving Greatest American Dog to Wednesdays at 8PM. FYI.

i cant believe that dumb blond dodged a bullet what was her dumb dog doing that showed loved. tilman had her beat no doubt hes always lazy. and that stupid judge that said tilman was the worsed photo ever i would like too see her say that to me when i photo my rott on a float in the pool i wold smack her and her dy-ke girl friend twice each (: we should be able to vote via remote and also dis the judges. 1 bald queer and i think the hot chick is staight

We just finished watching the elimination of Ron and Tillman. We were devestated! Ron is so loving and caring with Tillman. Then we see the likes of Theresa who puts bands on Leroys mouth to get the photo effect for the word “anger”. GO FIGURE - what are the judges thinking for not elimating her instead of Ron, who obviously adores his dog and accepts everything about him without judgement. We are truly disappointed in these idiot judges!!! Good luck Ron and Tillman - we KNOW we will be seeing a lot of you in the future!!!

Am very sad the Ron and Tillman have been voted off the show. The judges were off base Wed. night and now the show won’t have the funniest pair anymore.

On the show that aired on July 30th, one of the judges made the comment that Tillman’s photo for lazy was just that. She made a really stupid suggestion that Tillman should have possibly been made to lay on his back with his head tilted to the side. She is supposed to be a dog expert,so if she is such a great expert then why didn’t she know that a pose like that could put Tillman into respiratory distress? Anyone who knows anything about english bulldogs knows that an english bulldog can’t lay on his back due to their anatomy. As the owner of 3 english bulldogs I can speak from experience in saying that none of my dogs could breathe well on their back and would become panicked if they were put in that position even for a brief second. Tillman is an adorable english bulldog and that woman is an idiot. I thought these people were so supposed to be dog experts. Tillman’s picture was adorable and typical of the sleepy bulldog that can nap in any position and if she had known anything about an english bulldog she might have known that.

I am very disappointed that Tillman was voted off. I think if the judges were concerned for animals they would have sent the girl who used bands to make her dog look angry. That can’t be good for a dog. Thats just terrible. I think Tillman’s picture was very cute and it made him look lazy.

I am shocked! The bulldog riding a skateboard is much better than anything else I have seen especially on this show and they didn’t even let him show his talent - shame on the judges. They should have let this be a realty show and let the public decide on the best dog not these stupid judges who don’t seem to know anything about dogs and people who love their dogs. I for one will no longer be watching this show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have got to be kidding!!! Tillman was one of the best dogs on the show. Judges, and whomever scripted this show, these are not circus performers, they are people’s pets and I think the greatest American dog does not have to perform “outrageous tricks” to be one. What’s needed are some new writers, an new producer and a new set of judges!!!

I can’t believe that Tillman and Ron got voted off. They were the reason I watched the show. He didn’t even get to show all his talents like snow board or surf and they hardly even showed him skateboard. Those judges really suck!!! I bet the show won’t have as many viewers after this.

I agree with everyone who’s written so far in that the judges do seem rather dumb. This contest is supposed to be the Greatest American Dog and yet they seem to be judging the owners in the competition, not the dogs! All the most entertaining dogs are getting voted off; i.e. Tillman and Elvis. It was irresponsible for the one judge to suggest that Tillman be made to lay on his back; and after Ron explained Tillman could not breath comfortably in that position, she should have apologized. And who’s idea was it to even include an emotion like “anger” in the contest? Whatever anyone would have to do to provoke their dog to show anger cannot possibly make for a pleasant experience for the dog. These people are supposed to know and love dogs? That photographer was not very good either. The photo sessions looked a lot more promising than her finished products. The only intelligent beings on the show are the DOGS!

Nothing has inspired me to comment on a blog like this before the elimination of Ron and Tillman. The owner of an english bulldog myself, ALL of the typical “lazy” poses are old hat and Ron choose one that was different yet still dipicted lazy. To suggest Tillman be on his back shows a clear lack of knowledge on the discomfort and respiratory strain that would have ensued. A contestant CHEATED and knowingly caused her dog discomfort in spite of her claims that he didn’t mind…watch the photo shoot, he minded!
I am done watching this show unless they bring Tillman BACK.

I loved Tillman. The lifevest was so funny and the way Ron used the handle to tote Tillman around was excellent. I disagree with the judges ruling as well. They wanted to see personality and Tillman is Mr. Personality. The photo was better than some of the other ones. I won’t be watching the rest of the season. Bring back Tillman!!! Bring back Tillman!!! Etc…

I totally agree with evreyone else. Tillman was the best part of this show. I’m an owner of a English Bulldog myself and I think the picture of Tillman was perfect. To suggest you put him on his back was stupid! Bullies can’s breath on their backs!! Stupid judges.. I will not be watching this show anymore… They should rename it Greatest American Dog Owner, because they are not judging the dogs that’s forsure!

Tillman’s picture appeared lazy to me. The self-centered blonde or the lady who got bit by her own dog should have been the ones eliminated. The judge’s were completely wrong on this one!

I agree with all of the comments above. The judges were completely off base and should have eliminated the lady that cheated by using a snarl band on her dog. This wasn’t only an advantage for her but was completely and utterly inhumane. And then for her to go and claim that he was having fun!!! The dog HATED it! I was very disappointed to see Ron and Tillman leave the show as I think they work really well together and have the best personality of the house. I definitely question the judge’s integrity and believe that if they truly had the dog’s best interest at heart that they would have eliminated the lady that was stupid enough to resort to such an inhumane practice to get a “good” picture. I am very disappointed in this show.

I too am very upset and feel like I want to not watch anymore. Tillman made me laugh so much and he was the show with out him they just don’t have anything.Ron
was the greatest with Tillman and you guys lost alot of veiwers. When you put a show on T.V you may want to watch it, If you did you would have seen Tillman was the show.SAD SAD SAD

Cannot believe this…makes me doubt the purpose / benefit that I initially thought the show was providing. Very disappointed…

I am really mad that they never stated it was moving to Wednesday nights I came on here to find out why it was not on.I am also disapointed that Tillman and Ron are out I was hoping they would have lasted longer.

BOYCOTT THE SHOW OR BRING RON & TILLMAN BACK!!!

Ron’s choice of picture left a lot to be desired
however, Ron did use his imagination trying B&W
it did not work for me but it did not harm the dog
nor miss the point. Tillman looked lazy!

Brandy is a tad crazy and Beacon’s photo did NOT make point.

Teresa had an unfair advantage using them (cheating is what I call it) do not think Leroy was phyically harmed, mentally maybe!

Wendy Diamond and her despairing words about the ugly bulldog makes my blood boil. Has she looked at the mutt she has as an appendage? (MEOW)

Victoria Stilwell and her rant on animal cruelty was a bit much. The bands are NOT harmful used properly. However, Teresa’s other trianing techniques came really close. Spraying lemon juice in the dogs face or a hair dryer. tsk tsk for keeping her.

Star will win. She is the cutest dog and such a talent. Go Star!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill, she is the best! That dog is smarter than some people I know. Ron and Tillman should have stayed. That mean owner of Andrew should have been booted off and they should have left her dog Andrew behind.

During the show, I laughed my a** off watching Tillman I thought he was too funny–especially with the life vest on and Ron picking him up the the handle–as mentioned above. I am so extremely disappointed that they let Tillman and Ron go…they griped about the woman and her snarl bands, yet didn’t do anything to her; the griped about the woman and dressing her dog up, but didn’t do anything to her either. The judges lack intelligence for letting go a dog because the picture wasn’t the way they would have wanted it. They should look at the whole picture (no pun intended) to see how the owners treated their dogs throughout the show so far. Ron treats Tillman like his best bud, and it shows. And the picture of Pressly was absolutely “JOYFUL” and THAT showed too. They need to admit they made a mistake, and bring Tillman and Ron back–I think the ratings would go up and the judges could save face.

We are SHOCKED!!! Till and Ron MADE the show. Only an idiot would vote them off. Now we will NEVER watch this show again. It didn’t have to be this way. If you ever decide to bring back the most popular couple in the history
(short) of your show, you MAY be able to have a LONG history. From two lovers of REAL DOGS. Your choice.

Who cares about show-off’s who think they are the world’s best trainer or people who dress up their dog in freaken clothes….We need a REAL DOG! With a REAL Personality. He is a DANG bulldog, and if those judges knew their dogs, they wouldn’t be such a freaken snob! He did great!

I was so saddened and still am when they sent home Tillman. I agree with everyone else who has commented on this. Tillman is a great dog. I have two bulldogs myself and neither of them would even think of trying to ride a skateboard or swim in a pool. They should bring Tillman back and give him another chance! There was so much for all of us to see and I hope we still will. Plus, it would boost the ratings. Those judges suck.

I am the owner of 2 English bulldogs, and I can tell you the judges were so far off base by eliminating Tillman just because they didn’t like the black & white photo & thought owner Ron was “lazy”…the photo may not have been the best bulldog photo ever, but he DID look very lazy. Tillman was the main reason most viewers tuned in to this show & I’m sure your idiot judges have caused a dramatic DROP in RATINGS!! Way to go! BRING BACK RON & TILLMAN!! Judges,
you seem to get off insulting the dog owners - SHAME ON YOU!! The show seems to be more about the JUDGES vs the dog owners than the dogs. For so called “dog experts”, your judges are clueless!

I was so sad to see Tillman go. He was the best dog on the show. Those judges are realy dumb. They don’t know as much about dogs as they think they do. I think they voted him off to stir up the people and its just what thay got.

A little tip for Ron. There are many breeds that have a flatulence problem. Odd as it may seem, a couple of tablespoons of plain yogurt every day in Tillman’s food should help enormously. Unless they both enjoy the “aroma” I strongly suggest giving it a try!
